Audit and Accounts Senior

Responsibility:

  • Develop an effective working relationship with clients and other team members
  • Seek opportunities to expand and share knowledge

To actively role model expected and acceptable behaviours in line with the Firm’s values and build positive relationships with clients and staff.

Preparation of accounts for a wide range of companies, partnerships and sole traders.

Lead the delivery of audit assignments.

Supervise, delegate and review work to appropriate team members.

Manage a portfolio of clients .

Manage client communication in an effective manner.

Attend stock takes.

Full support and sponsorship for approved qualifications and training will be provided by the Firm. This post requires you to be able to travel to Client premises and so you must hold a current UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Qualified or QBE

At least 3 year UK experience with an ACCA/ACA regulated practice

Experience of completing private company audits: planning, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, budgeting/costing the time for the job

Experience of preparing annual accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders

Experience of;

Charity accounts

Preparing Corporation tax returns

IRIS accounts production software

Other software packages such as Sage and Xero.

Developing staff

A keen interest in developing yourself and others

Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure

Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team

Strong IT skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report writing skills
